How a project takes shape

Understand the work. Build what helps.

  1. Observe

See the work as it happens

Show us how work moves through your business and where it gets held up. We might look at repeated data entry, training and certification tracking, or dashboards for a team or department.

  2. Agree

    Define the project

Before building, we agree the changes, tools to keep, deliverables and cost, and set them out in a proposal. For larger projects, it also sets out stages and what you can use at each one.

What types of things can connect?

Information entered in one place might also update a work schedule, a training or certification record, or a team dashboard, instead of being copied between systems. We work out which connections would help and which work still needs a person.

These are examples, not a fixed package. Existing software may be the right fit; custom features and integrations belong in the project proposal.

  3. Make

    Build and review

We turn the proposal into a working website or tool. You try it and give feedback before launch.

  4. Handover

    Put it to use

For commissioned websites and custom-code builds, the proposal sets out ownership and hosting, what you can update and the guidance included at handover.

Settling-in support and later changes are agreed in writing. Ongoing care can be arranged separately, with its coverage defined.

Why getting the fit right matters to us

As a department head choosing software for a team, Lance found that the packages he could buy or subscribe to included modules the team did not need, while still missing features they needed. That meant bridging the gaps with workarounds or accepting the limitations. People doing the work deserve tools that meet the demands of the job.

That experience is why we pay attention to the fit between a tool and the people using it.

Westerly, in development

Westerly is a separate hosted team-operations product in development; features, integrations, availability, pricing and data-export terms are still being worked out.
